WP4. Acceptance of immunocastration

To evaluate differences in sensory meat quality between surgical castrates(SC), entire males (EM) and immunocastrates (IC), consumer panels in different EU countries using the same standardized protocol will be conducted. The impact of management strategies on perceived meat quality (including data from WP3) will also be evaluated. To analyze societal and market acceptance of IC as a practice and pork from IC, consumer and market attitudes will be assessed in at least four EU countries.
