WP6. Economical sustainability

Lead SEGES (SEGES Pig Research Centre)

To evaluate economic sustainability, economic modeling for production systems with immunocastrates (IC) vs entire males (EM) and surgical castrates (SC) will be developed. Data from WP1-WP4, from already existing data sets at SEGES, and from published experimental trials with specific emphasis on economic aspects (daily gain, feed utilization, carcass quality, boar taint) will be used.
